L'huile d'argan : ce qu'elle apporte vraiment, et dans quels soins la trouver

Argan oil: what it really provides, and which skincare products contain it

When an active ingredient appears throughout a skincare line, it is rarely by chance. Argan oil is one such ingredient: it is found in face creams, body creams, shower gels, and hand and foot care products. Here is what it actually does, and how to choose the right formula for you.

What sets it apart from other vegetable oils

Argan is a dry oil. It absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy film, which makes it suitable for use on the face—including on combination skin—where coconut or avocado oil would be too heavy.

Its composition explains its reputation: a high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids and a significant content of vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect the skin's lipids. It is this combination that makes it a fundamental ingredient in skincare products aimed at providing suppleness and comfort.

For the face

  • Face cream with argan oil and hyaluronic acid — the classic combination: hyaluronic acid retains water, and argan oil limits its evaporation. This is the richest formula in the facial skincare range. Best for normal to dry skin, especially in winter.
  • Anti-aging mask with argan oil — use once or twice a week on cleansed skin. Useful when your regular cream is no longer enough by the end of the day.

For the body

For hands and feet

These are the areas where the effects of argan oil are most immediately noticeable, as they are the most exposed.

A complete routine based on a single active ingredient

This is the philosophy behind Aurodhea lines: rather than layering conflicting active ingredients, we build a consistent routine around one. The Organic Argan range features argan oil in everything from shampoo to body cream, including hair masks and face cream.
